Other programs to avoid are Windows Antivirus 2004 (winantivirus.com), S Scanner, ComputerShield (computershield.com), VirusGuard (virusguard.com), StopGuard, or any program owned by Buysmarter.com. All of the above programs use zendmedia.com to advertise. S Scanner, ComputerShield, and VirusGuard are all owned by Buysmarter. Buysmarter also owns PopupGuard and InternetAntispy, the advertising used in previous browser hijacks on my computer.
Another interesting discovery on BuySmarter is a resume I found online for Pavel Balandin http://tibor.kiev.ua/index.php?&lang=en&categ=cv who lists his home address as Ukraine, the same country zendmedia is in, and also claims he designed an automatic products updates system for BuySmarter, a Russian based company.
